Research on Perceptions of “Dirty Work”

The WAVE lab is conducting a series of studies to better understand perceptions of dirty work, which is defined as jobs that are associated with physical, social, and/or moral occupational stigma. Our current study relies on survey data. If you’d like to participate in the study, you can do so here. Requirements for participation are that you are at least 18 years old and employed full- or part-time in the US. Approximate completion time is 15-20 minutes.

As a part of this study, we are conducting a lottery drawing for five $45 cash gift cards. After completion of the survey, you will have the option to provide information for entry into the lottery. Although we ask that you complete our survey before entering the lottery, completion is not required for entry. You may also enter the lottery here. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Subject to all federal, state, and local laws. Limit one entry per person. The drawing will be completed on May 3rd, 2021, and winners will be contacted shortly after. Approximately one out of every eighty entrants will be selected and awarded a prize.
